Item 8.01 Other Events.

         Chemtura Corporation announced today the departure of the Company's former executive vice president of Performance Chemicals and the Company's former executive vice president of Supply Chain Operations, the promotion of several executive officers and certain organizational and reporting changes.

         A copy of a press release reporting the personnel, organizational and reporting changes is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
