Edgewater,United States - August 13, 2022 /PressCable/

This update aims to provide aspiring artists with the essential skills required to begin establishing their own clientele, in response to growing demand and new trends in the PMU industry.

Permanent makeup such as eyeliner, lip blush and eyebrow tattooing is a convenient and time-saving alternative to regular makeup. To legally perform these procedures on clients in New Jersey, PMU artists must be certified by the AAM. This involves completing the SPCP or AAM approved 100 hours of micropigmentation training, an apprenticeship and an online examination.

Hudson Beauty Bar’s apprenticeship program moves students one step closer to receiving their AAM Board Certification. Each student practices on 9 models, giving them extensive experience with different skin types, designs and requests. The clinic recommends that apprentices find their own models to begin marketing their services.

The apprentices benefit from the direction and feedback of a qualified instructor. This training can also be extremely valuable to qualified PMU artists who wish to brush up on their knowledge and learn about new techniques and technological developments.

To qualify for enrollment, students must have completed a SPCP or AAM approved 100 hours of micropigmentation training course, which is also offered by the clinic. The program then builds on the students’ basic abilities, helping them to create professional portfolios showcasing a total of 15 procedures.

The program’s lead instructor and the founder of the clinic is Esther Yim, an esthetics graduate who became a qualified PMU artist in 2013. She is now Platinum Instructor by the AAM, as well as a Trainer Member for the SPCP. Esther is a regular PMU client herself and is committed to keeping up to date with the latest beauty trends.

A spokesperson said, “Our mission at Hudson Beauty Bar is not only to help people feel better about themselves, but to help anyone who wants to change their lives by showing them a new career they will love.”
