The updated treatment plans are designed to help students experiencing dyslexia, auditory processing disorders, learning disabilities, and attention-deficit disorders, as well as neurotypical students struggling in school to access the support needed to become high achievers.
Many intelligent students with the potential to become high-achievers do not receive the assistance they require in school. Researchers have found that this has been exacerbated over the course of the pandemic and the subsequent switch to online teaching. One report shows more than 8 in 10 parents felt that their child has fallen behind following the shift to remote schooling.
Stowell Learning Center’s latest initiative comes in response to these trends, providing students with cognitive programming and tutoring to catch up for the next academic year. Through intensive therapies, children can work to bridge the learning gap between themselves and their peers.
The center focuses on using different types of cognitive therapies to permanently correct learning challenges, such as attention and memory, to foster success. The aim of each therapy is to help students to develop the skills that are causing their difficulties.
Each student will receive a unique learning program that is tailored to address their specific needs. Moreover, all sessions are one-to-one, so each student has the full attention and support of the clinicians present.
The Intensive Program lasts between 6 and 8 weeks, so students will not need to spend the entire summer within the program. Sessions are given each day from Monday to Friday and typically last between 2 and 4 hours.
