President of Telecast, Michael Dockery host the "Stomp the City" MLK Weekend

Memphis, Tennessee Jan 7, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - With more than 333 homicides in 2021, Memphis surpassed its 2020 record of 332 slayings. According to 24/7 Wall Street, Memphis has the second-highest homicide rate among the nation's largest cities. Around 29 of those who were killed last year, were either intentionally or negligently, were younger than 18. One of the most notable homicides which made national news in Memphis, was that of Rap Artist Young Dolph (36). 

Michael Dockery is here to change the narrative and has been an advocate to stop the violence in the Memphis Community. With the help of some of the city's stakeholders he is making an impact.  

Dockery quoted, Dr.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "The time is always right to do what is right." It is never too late to find ways that we can all live together in peace.

During this year MLK Weekend, Michael Dockery will host "Let Our Children LIVE" Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Oak Grove M.B. Church located at 7289 Stage Road at 2:30 PM. This event will have an open forum to address and put into action a plan of action to curve the violence within the city.

Special Guest include (Gospel Artist) Ernest Pugh, The Tennessee District Choir (COGIC). and Gospel DOVE Award Winner Kevin Davidson.

Also, in attendance will be some of the families that have been affected by gun violence across this nation, including Jacob Blake Family, Breanna Taylor Family, George Floyd Family, and Lorenzen Wright Family.  

A special tribute to Young Dolph with a performance by Grammy Award Winning Artist Ernest Pugh. These efforts are also being supportive by motivational speaker Charles Sims.
