ATC Alert Adds a Complete COVID-19 Program to Its ATC Care Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Platform in North America to Support Hospital Bed Capacity Management

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. - March 26, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, ATC Alert has developed a COVID-19 Program that allows physicians to monitor, engage and communicate with medium-risk patients in the comfort and safety of their homes, saving bed capacity for high-risk patients.

Among the core features of the program are remote-monitoring capabilities, such as a COVID-19 symptoms questionnaire, body temperature tracker, respiratory rate tracker, blood oxygen tracker, clinical alerting and secured messaging.

ATC Alert’s COVID-19 Discharge Kit includes a Pulse Oximeter and Digital Thermometer, along with the technology platform needed for the remote monitoring of these patients.

The program allows the monitoring of these patient’s symptoms in their home environment by collecting their health symptoms and measurements, and guiding their treatment by exchanging:

  • Vitals measurements including Blood Oxygen Saturation and Body Temperature

  • Secured Text Messages
  • Documents or Photos

  • Video Calls/Televisits

HOW THEY BUILT THE ATC ALERT COVID-19 PROGRAM

By mid-February, given the rapid escalation of case numbers in Europe, ATC Alert’s technology partners set up an Emergency Task Force (ETF) to track, prepare and respond to this unprecedented health crisis. They were able to quickly learn from their many clients in Europe how to prepare for the possible global pandemic and its effects on the USA. The working group, comprised of programmers, engineers and physicians, developed an effective care plan that allows remote tracking of low-risk and medium-risk patients.

WHY IT MATTERS

By facilitating communication between quarantined people and healthcare providers, patients infected with COVID-19 are being monitored with ATC Alert’s RPM platform in the safety of their homes. ATC Alert remote-monitoring technology, staff and analytics provide healthcare professionals with clinical decision support to help early identification and day-to-day monitoring of any physiological changes that could indicate deterioration in order to enable earlier interventions for better outcomes.

‘‘In this unprecedented healthcare crisis, we are proud to service and support our client’s needs for RPM technology. ATC Alert’s RPM platform combined with a digital thermometer, pulse oximeter & 24/7 monitoring will help preserve hospital bed capacity for high-risk patients while ensuring comprehensive tracking of COVID-19 symptoms for medium and low-risk patients outside of clinical settings,’’ says Jordan S. Savitsky, CEO of ATC Alert.

The COVID-19 Program is available today and can be deployed to your patient population immediately. To inquire about the program or quickly deploy it to your patients, please email covid@atcalert.com
