Ramblers Media Productions (R.M.P.) presents “Catrina the Event” in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019.  This dynamic cultural festival will feature artisan vendors, live music, contests, mariachi, face painting, themed art, food, drinks and more. Enticing taste of tacos, tamales, churros, and pan dulce will deliver an authentic Mexican culinary experience to “Catrina” guests. This experience will only be complete with popular tequila cocktails like a refreshing “Paloma” or “margarita”.

“Catrina the Event” in Texas will trail R.M.P.’S Los Angeles “Catrina the Event” which had more than 2,000 + guests in attendance this past June. Celebrity guests included two-time Grammy award-winning Mariachi Divas, CNN anchor Juan Carlos and actor-director Fernando Gaviria (“Bad Boys 2,” “Catrina”).

“I’m thrilled and honored to host this esteemed event with such luminaries in the arts, media, and entrepreneurship. ‘Catrina’ the event is keeping the spirit alive by bringing traditional Day of the Dead elements,” said Nataly Gonzalez, founder of Moby Arts.

To further commemorate “La Catrina”, this event will host a Catrina costume contest each night. The 1st place winner will have the chance to receive a $500 prize for the best costume. Day of the Dead traditions will be featured with an “ofrendas” altar contest. Contestants have a chance to win $1000 for the best altar, which will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 26. Selected surprise gifts will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place winners. Both contests are open to anyone age 21 and over. Interested participants can register by emailing ramblersmedia@gmail.com.

Catrina the Event – Texas guests can expect to experience an arrangement of themed decor and a  spectrum of live performances. Both evenings of “Catrina the Event” will showcase various performances. These include talented ballet folklorico dancers, live mariachi music, energetic Latin bands, and an all-star “Selena” tribute band. Guests are encouraged to wear a “Catrina” themed costume, get their face painted during the event and dance the night away.
