During the roundtable discussion, Director Herrnstadt and Shahidi underscored the role EXIM financing can play throughout the Americas in supporting U.S. exporters, workers, and critical sectors like manufacturing and transportation.

“Since the launch of EXIM under FDR, we have helped finance U.S. exports and the innovation they encompass,” said Director Herrnstadt. “We continue our efforts by financing renewable energy programs that improve our critical infrastructure and that support U.S jobs.”

The discussion highlighted EXIM’s Make More in America initiative to empower the development of American-made products and services. Some notable people in attendance were Courtney La Bau, Los Angeles World Airports Commissioner; Olivier Laganiere, Managing Director of Northleaf Capital Partners; Tina Backstrom, Sr. Director of Transportation at the City of Los Angeles; and others.
