Digital workplace analytics provider SWOOP Analytics is proud to announce it has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type 2 compliance examination, one of the world’s most rigorous cybersecurity auditing standards designed to protect customer data.
The SOC 2, also known as Service Organization Control Type 2, is a cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to ensure third-party service providers like SWOOP Analytics store and process customer data securely.
This certification is further proof of SWOOP Analytics’ commitment to protecting customers’ user profiles and personal information.
SWOOP Analytics is also ISO 27001 certified, as well as being compliant with GDPR requirements.
SWOOP Analytics CEO Cai Kjaer said being SOC 2 compliant means SWOOP Analytics fulfills five Trust Service Criteria - security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity and privacy.
“Security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy of our customers have always been among our top priorities,” Kjaer said.
“We wanted to reinforce our commitment with solid actions that would speak louder than words. Thus, we decided that acquiring SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is the way to go.
“For our customers, this means peace of mind as their highly sensitive data is safe with us. That has never been more important.”
Unlike SOC 2 Type 1 certification which is a single point in time, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is a long-term commitment that involves constant supervision of safety and security practices by independent auditors.
“Our team is determined to remain SOC 2 compliant for the years to come,” Kjaer said.
SWOOP Analytics offers analytics for Microsoft M365, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage and SharePoint intranet, focusing on digital behaviors and relationships to help customers get the most from their digital tools.
