Latino Community Foundation Appoints Two New Board Members with Decades of National and Grassroots Leadership

The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) appoints Head of Americas Philanthropy at Google.org and Executive Director of CHIRLA to Board of Directors

The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) is thrilled to announce the appointment of two new board members: Hector Mujica, Head of Americas Philanthropy at Google.org, and Angélica Salas, Executive Director of CHIRLA. Their diverse expertise and commitment to Latino communities will strengthen LCF as it pursues its mission to unleash the civic and economic power of Latinos.

“The appointments of Hector Mujica and Angélica Salas to our board are pivotal for the Latino Community Foundation,” said Julián Castro, LCF CEO. “Both are valued members of our Latino Giving Circle Network, and their remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to empowering our communities will be instrumental in navigating the challenges ahead. Hector Mujica is recognized for his innovative work at Google.org, where he leads Google’s grantmaking and broader philanthropic efforts across the Americas. "Since I first encountered the Latino Community Foundation over a decade ago, I have deeply admired their unwavering commitment to empowering Latinos and democratizing philanthropy," said Hector Mujica, Head of Americas Philanthropy at Google.org.
